I Will Never Leave You, Nor Forsake You...

Do you find spiritual insight in regular every day life situations?  Do you see Jesus' protection in bad circumstances? Do you feel His presence even when you are disappointed? Are you at peace, even when things don't go your way?

I was just thinking of the "glass being half empty" or the "glass being half full"... I've been guilty of both from time to time. I wander between the glasses like a little lost puppy. And then I hear Him loud and clear... "I will never leave you nor forsake you!"... sounds like a promise to me!

I have learned (and relearned if I am going to be transparent) that nothing comes to me unless He allows it or sometimes even forces it... the finances, the fusses, the fractures, the failures, etc... are all used for His good and His glory and are for growing us into His likeness.  Do I trust Him with my life?... My mouth says one thing, but to be quite honest, I have a habit of failing in the moment and going back and making a bit of correction in the course.  You, too, have probably had this difficulty from time to time.

We are not much different than His early disciples... poor Thomas, always known as doubting Thomas..(John 20:25)... but he had to wait until he had a visual to make sure that what he was told was true... how like him we can be! Even though we know in our hearts we still falter at times and then Jesus shows Himself more clearly and we too join Thomas and say, "My Lord, and my God!"  He longs for us to believe without having to show us, but He will reach down and individually clear our vision if we need it! In our need He is there. Let Him come into your "upper room" and say to you as He said to his disciples on that day, "Peace be with you".  Amen!

And remember... He Loves Us!
